rocker slide questions

rocker slide questions

the rocker panels on my jeep are slightly rusting and my driver side is damaged from a girl running a stop sign and t-boning me. I am thinking about cutting the rocker panels out and replacing them with 2x4 box steel.
Has anyone done this and if so advice?

p.s. i just signed up for this forum a few hours ago and have been like a kid in a candy store...this place is awesome

I dont know much about rocker panels but id go with tubing... and welcome to CF...

wow, I would love to have something like those but slightly wider/thicker. More like step rails I suppose but I really like the square boxy look of the ones in the picture.
