When I took the bridges and the fulcrums out I neglected to see which way the fulcrums are oriented. On the lower part there are two small "canals" (for oil?) that match up with those on the rocker. My question is should I set the fulcrums so that the "canals" line up with eachother or should they overlap each other?
Thank you,
Taylor

Yes they need to line up. On new rockers there are no grooves, those are from the pivots.
Be sure to check and see if they are scored real bad. if they are you can get complete sets that include 2 rockers 2 pivots and a bridge at Advance auto for $13.99 each. If you pull your push rods, make sure you keep them in order.

Theoretically, it don't matter. The grooves are there for oil dispersion at the rocker/pivot interface.
I like to install them such that the grooves cross (they're usually closer together at one end than the other - so just put the "narrow sides" apart,) but it shouldn't matter.
I find it helpful to apply a generous amount of assembly lubricant to the mating surfaces (new or used parts) before assembly. For used parts, you can use a quality chassis grease (I like moly-based stuff, it's usually red,) but for new parts I recommend you don't do this, and use proper assembly lube instead, as the mating surfaces haven't lapped in and work-hardened yet. Dry starts can be nasty.
