roar going down the road

Default roar going down the road

my 2000 xj is stock and strert ratials and when im goni down the interstate doing about 75 0r 80 its roars lik i have 40s on it but i cheched the front diff and its coming from up front it rides smooth im lost help

Had a roaring noise in mine it was the front unit bearings they were both bad.

check all bushings, my dads Explorer roar like it had MTs and it was some bad bushings.. metal with metal = roar and bad vibes..

If the noise changes when you turn (lane change) it's probably unit bearings (wheel bearings). If not you may want to check front differential bearings. If you can get it in the air you can listen to the bearings with a stethescope by putting it in 4 whl hi and having someone "drive" it at speed. Just watch carefully for moving parts!

It dont make a sound till you get to about 70 or higher

how about air pressure/condition of tires?? any feathering/cupping?
