Default RMS

Mines leaking. I am in the middle of an axle sway right now from LP to HP 30. I was thinking that after I pull the front axle it would be a good time to change out the RMS.

How hard and how much time am I looking at. Do I need any special tools?

I am slightly confused. I have an 01 and with the axle out of the way, the starter will or will not need to be removed. Also, the exhaust manifold?

you dont need to pull either. Starter is more helpful if it is out of the way though.

I might just pull the starter if it's going to make it easier. I'm on a 6.5 lift as well so I have plenty of room with the axle out of the way.

Re-torque your flexplate bolts with blue loctite (assuming yours is an auto).

Couple of video for your reference...

depending on mileage, I'd think about doing the oil pump while you're in there. Had 200k on the clock so she got a new one. I had to dremel down the pump housing b/c the crank was hitting it. Also get creative on the oil pump pickup tube. Used an open ended wrench and a hammer to seat the tube....

97K on her. I wasn't going to worry about the oil pump.
