Right front windshield wiper.

I have a 91 xj, and the right front wiper has completly quit working, i can free hand move the wiper with no force against it. what could be the problem, im thinking wiper motor, and if it is how do i go about fixing this problem?

Linkage either broke or fell off, pull the cowl panel & see whats going on.

wiper arm could be stripped. it may have rounded off all the little grooves on the stud.
