Default reverse light issue

i started having problems with my reverse lights, they come on when they want to. the only time i can count on them coming on is when i start the jeep for the first time in the day, other than that its rare they come on. this is on a 2000 5 speed, i just recently got it inspected and they took a little while but they finally came on, the guys at the shop still passed it but said i should get that fixed (they didnt have any suggestions on what to do unless i paid them to look into it). if anyone has any info that would be much appreciated thanks.

Sounds like a sticky reverse light switch. Should be available from most parts stores.

I believe it's on the driver's side, near the driveshaft. I'll look in my Chilton's and see if it's more specific.
