Default Reverse Issue

Hello All,

It seems like once I fix one issue, another one arises....

So recently I noticed that when I shift into reverse, and hit the gas the car will accelerate based on house much throttle I hit. It will go into reverse and it'll reverse under its own load I guess to say. You know when you put it into reverse and let go of the brake, it'll go whether on flat surface or even a small up/down incline it'll go on its own. But when I hit the throttle it won't go faster so to say. I checked fluid, which I replaced last summer with a new gasket and filter. The level looked good, xj up to temperature, in neutral. Here are a few weirds things that have happened recently which I am not sure if it is related or not.

1.) About a week ago, while on highway doing about 70, all of a sudden smoke started coming from under the car. I drove till the next exit which was my exit to get home, and drove home only took me 2-3 mins to get home once it started. Got home, looked underneath and car was covered in fluid couldn't tell if it was engine oil, tranny fluid, power steering, I checked all my fluids (obviously waited a few hours to check oil) and all my fluids were to level. Couldn't tell if fluid was brown or red was very difficult to tell. But most of it got burned off.
2.) Something that started yesterday, whenever I go over 2000 RPM the floor has like a mild vibration and gets loud, but stops once I pass 2500 rpm. I am sure this is due to my exhaust, since my cat has gone to ****, and my muffler has a crack down the middle of it. Im pretty sure this vibration/loud noise is the exhaust. Also only occurs when I’m applying throttle. ****FIXED**** this

I am not sure if either of the 2 things above have anything to do with the reverse issue. I know recently that my reverse has been a little funky, I do remember a few weeks ago when reversing, the rear tires felt as if they were jumping, kinda like when you try to do a burn out on a car and it jumps.

Not sure if anyone has any insight on my issues...

thanks in advance.

Bump... number 2 on my original post I fixed, my cat/muffler were both shot. Cat was junk and muffler had long crack down the middle. Replaced both, no more vibration inside vehicle. I did change my tranny fluid and filter this weekend, fluid was full and looked good. Not many metal shavings inside tranny pan magnets, just normal amount. No big chunks either.

Vehicle will go into reverse and I can feel it shift into reverse and it will move back on its but if I hit my throttle it won't go faster. But as I mash on the gas it'll pick up a little more. but generally will just move on its own power. So I technically still have reverse it just doesn't go faster as I hit the gas.

Any ideas?
