Default Retread Tires

I'm looking to add some stuff to my jeep and I have all the parts list that I'm going to get and I was wondering if anyone has run retread tires, my jeep will only be a DD in the winter time. I will park when the winter weather goes away, I might wheel it to the mtns. I just want to know if they will be any count. The price is just right.

I don't have a clue. I don't understand why they wouldn't be, Why would you even make them if they weren't

I just read like a whole thing on retread tires that they seem to be ok as long as you can find a decent place to buy them from, I am looking at tires off Treadwright.com.
And here is another link that I read about them. http://www.retread.org/Facts/index.cfm/ID/227.htm

I know more than a few people using the Treadwright tires daily with no issues.

hate to be that guy..but theres a huge post on people (including me) loving these things and buying them on this site.

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f59/tr...e-review-5388/

they are not illegal in ME, I think they might be on "steering axles" i.e. the front in some states. I'm on my third set of treadwrights now and have 0 complaints. On my third set from them being on 2 jeeps and wearing through 1, they have pretty good tread life. 2 of my wheel'n buddies have since converted cause they are just way cheaper and mine have done just as well as comparable mud tires in the size range.

there is another company called stone retreading, I've never bought from them, but their product looks quite similar.

Retreads are 100% legal in all states to use on a personal vehicle i had about 41k miles on my last set of retreads on my s10 and just bought a new set for my xj.

I bought the 31x10.50R15 version of the goodyear wrangler mt/r

They were about $78 each comapared to the $184 each on tire rack.

Total to my door was about $385 so a savings of about $500 if i bought from tireack so no reason to waste my money plus the come with a waranty.

Here is the link to the site.

Please do more reasearch before speaking bad about a product you know little about.

Retreads are 100% legal and are very safe you might be thinking about retreads from the 70's when there was few rules or regulations guiding them.

The retreads now follow the same safety guidelines as regualr tires per dot regualtion.
