You can get the elbows at Advance Auto Parts too:

Grommet fitting

Elbow

Good luck with the head gasket. Read up everything you can find on the forums. Here's a search tip... go to google and type "site:cherokeeforum.com replace head" or something similar.

I need any and all suggestions on how to get the bottom bolts out of the intake/exhaust manifold. I've got the top out but can't get the bottom out

Doesn't anyone find it humorous the title of this thread is "Retarted Question" and then the post has it spelled as "Restarted." What are the odds of misspelling retarded two different times in two different ways, in such short time? I hope that was on purpose, especially with automatic spell check. Not trying to be rude just figured someone would have pointed it out.

Edit: Just realized you may have actually meant restarted question. As in a question that has been brought up over and over.

I suggest you put the top bolts back in, and remove the bottom ones first. If you take out the top ones first, the intake will lean at an angle away from the engine that will make it quite difficult to get those bottom bolts. Ask me how I know!

I hear brake parts cleaner works well for this.

Put two of the bolts back in and pull the head with all of it attached, then take apart on the bench.

In your opinion, where's the best place to disconnect the exhaust manifold from the rest of the manifold? I'm about to just cut the exhaust but at the same time, I don't feel like having to get it welded back up

Mineral spirits works really well, brakes parts cleaner is expensive, evaporates quickly and you pay for aerosol.

Valve cover upside down, with some mineral spirits poured in and a small wire brush got my valve cover really clean.
