Resto Plan for Summer
So the jeep's getting a little old and the Maine winters have been killing her slowly. The rockers that I patched up a bit this past summer wont hold up too long I dont think. I've also noticed some rot in the floor board (near the pass side front seat's rear bolts). So I want to make her solid so that I wont lose her to rust after I've invested all my time and dough on the mods, etc.
My plan of attack is to pull the seats, consoles, carpet out of the interior. I'll cut out and patch in parts of the floor (probably rivit, but maybe I'll have a welder by then). I've seen some mods where people gut the rockers out completely and then weld in some boxed steel. This sounds appealing, but then again I'm not a welder. Hopefully I'll figure out how to do this one way or another anyways. So once I get all the metal taken care of, I'm planning on bedlining the whole interior side of the floor pan, as well as the underside (including frame rails, etc.) after I go to work with rust removal (probably a bunch of wire brushes?).
So any tips from you guys? Also what will I have to remove while lining the frame rails and underside? What should I clean up and coat, and what shouldn't I? I wanna make sure I don't goop on a ton of bedliner on something that I'll have to end up replacing.
I know I wanna make sure not to cover the drain plugs as well. Also, any tips on what I can do with the rear quarters? They're a bit rotted out as well, I've got them patched up pretty good, but I wasn't sure if you can weld in boxed steel like on the rockers, or what you guys might do.
Thanks a lot as always!

I'd love to put like a 3 inch lift (daily driver), just gotta find one for cheap.
Just noticed today also that my rear bumper's a little loose on one side. Crawled underneath and saw that the supports are rotted. I'll have to figure something out for that as well.
