Default replacing seals help (not rear main)

Would someone be able to tell me how hard it is to replace the 2 transfer case seals (not sure on which tc - I will crawl under and look tonight). This will be my weekend project, and trying to get prepared and make just one trip to the parts store for once.
Do I need any special tools?
Will fluid drain out when I pull the old seals, and what will I need to replace it?
It's an '87 4wd I6.

the one on the tail of the trans is really easy . make sure to chalk the wheels and have your e-brake set. Remove the rear drive line bolts and remove the cap girdles, then slide out the driveline. fluid should not come out if its on level ground. You can take the seal off by prying it with a screw driver. then tap the new one in with hammer . try not to cockeye the seal or you could damage it, i do it in a cris cross pattern and lightly tap so it goes all the way in. if its a automatic it should have another seal on the front of the trans but to change that one you have to pull the trans.

Im not sure of any other seals on the transfer case, i havent had to do any on my xj.
I had to do them on other cars and most of the im its a rwd car

Well, I just checked, and I have the 231 transfer case. It's pretty oily around there, and the rear output on the case does look easy, same with the front output. with as much oil that's down there, is there any other seal that's on the transfer case that goes to the crappy ba-10 tranny? I'm also thinking, if I'm going to do that much, I might as well do the tranny output seal too.
All I want to do is fix the darn leaks, and not worry about running the tranny or t-case dry.

All in all - are there a total of 3 seals on the transfer case, and one on the tail of the tranny I would want to check and replace? And what's involved in replacing these. I think the 2 output seals on the t-case are pretty straight-forward....I just need to know the rest.
