I will be replacing the oxygen sensor on the cat tomorrow. Anything I should know about the install? or is it pretty straight forward?

Just replaced mine last week. Easy fix. Make sure you have something with a lot of leverage, you'll need it. 10 minutes with the right tool. I just cut the wires off the old one so I could get a socket on it. Almost impossible to get off with a wrench.

Replaced mine Friday... drove it home from work.. kept it running.. cut the wires and used a socket and a breaker bar.. between the heat and the leverage she popped right out..

There is a special tool made called an O2 Sensor Socket (pretty genius name ) which has a "slice" down the side of the socket to accommodate the wires so you don't have to cut them. Or you can just use an open end 7/8" wrench. Either way should would. I would use PB Blaster to be safe though. One time when I was getting an O2 sensor from the junkyard, it was on real tight and I used my foot to push the wrench and it tore the whole cat apart. The O2 was still in the threads and the cat had a big hole in it. So if your cat is real rusty, use some PB Blaster.
