Replacing Leaf Springs
Hey, Im getting ready to replace my saggy rear springs some new stock springs. Whats the difference in the "Standard Duty" and "Heavy Duty" . know the Heavey duty is bigger and stronger, But will it give it any more lift than the Standard Duty?I'd like to stick some 31"s on with some minor Fender trimimg.
Thanks
Thanks

I don't think the heavy duty will give you a lift really...they might ride slightly higher just because they are made for heavier loads. They are probably just more stiff and will have somewhat of a rougher ride.

I just put a set of Crown HD springs on our '98. I can't remember how much lift out of it, but really that's not a lift as such, that's just bringing it back to where it should have been. I'd have to go check it was a couple inches. I carried a 318 and stand in the back last weekend. The rear only dropped about 1.25". Less than the old saggy springs sat... I also did sway bar and shackle bushing while back there. It rides SO much better. and looks better.
