Default Replacing evap metal line info

I wanted to get this information out. If you are replacing your evap metal line I just did it in my 01's, I used 1/4" brake line (cu ni zi). It came in a 40" length used a line cutter cut to about 35" and flared the end. Easy to bend to old shape and the old one was rusted to s*** so I stuck a small flat head in the rubber fittings to pull it out popped the new one in.

Are you talking about the metal line that goes to your evaporator, as in part of the A/C system?

Thanks, Hewitt, I have to do this on mine too, as it is also rusted to hell. I can smell the gasoline fume if I put my nose close to it.

Question, did you make one piece of line or did you make two pieces to fit it better?

Also, in mine, on the gas tank end, the metal line goes into a rubber hose vacuum line for the tank, is there any special way to connect them?

Thanks for the info.

One piece eye balled the two bents it makes. Once bent I put it right up along the old one and shaped it the same.
The end connecting to the gas tank fitting mine was not rust inside the hose so I saw that the original hose was flared the same as the new one. Just popped the new line right in.
