Replacing drive shaft U-joints and have a few ?s
About to replace my stock u joints with some precision super strength greasables.
Apparently, under the back seat where I had them stashed for a few months, they got a bit wet, and there is slight rust on the side and top in spots on the caps.
Should I clean the caps up with a wire brush or not worry about it???
Also regarding install, should I use never seize on the shaft's ears for the caps to slide in, or just regular grease?
I'm thinking about down the road ease of removal.

I would clean the rust off, but thats just me... Rust does tend to grow.... Just did my jeeps U joints, and dont recall using any grease other than what was already on them. Oh and my old ones were not that hard to remove either

OTOH if water got inside the caps, toss 'em.
