Default Replacing coolant Parts

Hey guys, I've got a 2000 XJ sport, 4.0 4x4, 153k On the body.

I need to replace the radiator, water pump thermostat. I've looked around on Rockauto and the parts are inexpensive, however I am looking for a direct fit, plug and play experience. I have minimal expeience cutting and welding and all that good stuff. So if anyone has done this before and knows a good brand that I can just place in and connect, that would be great. Thanks fellas. Also I live in NY as far as thermostat goes, should I go lower on temp or keep it OEM?

Thanks for the advice

All of the cooling system components can be purchased at most any local auto parts store for <$250 and they r all "drop-in", no mods necessary. Purchasing local eliminates mail order down time if a part needs to be warranted.

If u remove the old rad 1st and install the new rad last, all of the other components can almost be installed blindfolded. Lots of room with the rad out of the way. Install a new fan clutch while u r in there.

If u don't install a 195* stat, this thread will become many pages long and full of myths, misinformation, doom and gloom regarding using a stat different than a 195*. Your XJ left the factory with a 195* stat (along with a specific size tire) but an optional stat was sold thru the dealerships.

If you are going to replace the radiator get one at local parts store so if its damaged you can see before you even leave the store. It may be a few more dollars but one damaged in shipping may be harder to return.
