Replacement stereo 2001 Cherokee Sport

Hi,

Writing from Mexico. If we were in the States I would likely ask this question at a BestBuy. Our Jeep has the original AM/FM/Cass stereo. We would like to replace it (if affordable) with something with a CD and/or mp3 attachement for the phone. Can anyone suggest a replacement which will fit nicely into the dash as is ? OR - can we place the stereo from a newer Jeep year into our 2001 easily.

We live here now and we love it but it wold be nice to hear some American music on long trips.
