Ok replaced the pump and it was good, was driving today did a uturn, and lost power steering. Any ideas?

Belt is tight, hoses are correct but fluid isn't following

Picked up a new one this morning, is it common for these to just be ****ty? Is there a better pump out there I sshould find?

Seems a deff problem others have had when mine went I tried 2 A1-cardone got money back .Went to local u-pull and never looked back.
