Default replaced head now back fires

I just got finished removing my head because it overheated and warped the head. I had thr head machined and a valve job done. I re-installed heaad and gasket and new radiator, water pump and thermostat while I was at it. Now it back fires and has a squeaking noise. My main concern is the backfire. The squeaking is probably just a pulley or belt. any suggestions on making it run smoother and not back firing. Did I do something wrong??

possibly wrong firing order on the plug wires. double check the plug wires and location. no reason to remove the distributor, but if you did it might be out of time. my money is on plug wires wrong.

Brother, you have a vacuum leak somewhere. Re-check all your lines.
