Replace Vacuum Disco with Newer Dana 30
Question for you all, I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere!
I have an 89 5-speed XJ with a vacuum disconnect and need to replace the front end axle. Found one on craigslist that's a later 90's Dana 30 so it doesn't have the vacuum disconnect. Will this still work correctly with my current 4wd shift setup? How will I be able to shift into 4wd without the vacuum disconnect??

It will work perfectly. 4wd is selected with linkage from the lever to transfer case.
All that vacuum crap can be removed.
Make sure you use a front axle with a matching ratio to your rear!!!
