I have a hatch from another cherokee on mine and the top three defrost lines do not work. I saw at pep boys that there is some goo I can use to repair the breaks.

My question how is the factory tint installed on the window? Is it imbedded, colored glass, or on the interior surface? I'm sure I would have to remove the tint over the defrost lines to do this.

Any input would be great.

The factory tint is smoked glass, so there's nothing to remove.

That's good to hear.

I normally won't care, but I have a tire carrier and the top three are the only ones I need to work. I live on an af base and they do pull you over if windows are not cleared properly. Luckily it was a warning.
