Heyy guy, long story short, I recently had to replace my ignition switch in my 96 Xj. The half moon base of the switch had chipped and would not allow the vehicle to start. I replaced it with no issues with a new switch from Nappa.
My question is to see if there is a way to repair the switch that is broken using JY parts or anything else? I would prefer to have just one key for my locks as well as ignition. Let me know what you guys think. I can post a picture of the broken piece so you guys see what I'm referring to.

I think you are wasting your time. You can have them re-keyed. It's not a big deal.
