Plus having so many extra seats and parts I am in the process of taking front headrest seats and putting them in the back seat.
Plenty of write ups on this. I have been playing with it trying to figure out exactly how I want to handle it.
This is an attempt last year to figure it out.

The thing wrong with getting a real headrest back seat is the headrests.
Backs are not the same as the fronts. Which makes sense.
But it means those extra CoverKing headrest covers I was able to get might not fit.
I found a guy in the UK who was nice enough to send me shots of both front and back headrests.
You can kind of see that they are different in pictures of European Jeeps but besides looking thinner
can't really see them good. With the shots sent to me a much clearer picture.
The one thing that did surprise me is the posts. Never occurred to me that they might not be the same
distance apart.

My best guess with the width is due to the shape of the seats being different. From the head restraint perspective, neck support will be different in a crash and it makes sure the correct headrest is used for that seat.
Another bit of rear headrest trivia for you, they changed shape and leg angles, (I'm guessing in 94/95), when the interior changed slightly and the steering wheel got an airbag. My 95 rear headrests have straight legs and the 93's have an angle half way down them. The 95 headrest sits horribly on the 93 seat.

The exact position of the headrest. I would like them to be functional.
Meaning proper position on the seat to work as they should in an accident.
Which I have no idea would where or if it even matters. To a degree.
Using front seat headrests being as they are thicker if they are too far back might interfere with
the placement of the spare in there. The side to side works pretty good if you go with the notch in the foam.

I wouldnt be bothered with the back headrests unlessyou regularly have rear seat passengers...if you dont have rear seat passengers, the headrests just get in the way of folding down the rear seat and slightly obscure rear vision...I have dismounted mine...but I run with my back seat in the folded up position...if I want to take passengers in the rear its 2 minutes to fold it down

I am in search of a driver's seat from a 95-96 Country in gray leather. The leather on mine is really deteriorating, especially the bottom. The rest of the seats, passenger and rear are good. I found one in a JY in Salem Ohio but the JY owner would not remove or ship. So I'm still looking.
