Mine dies immediately pulling the second relay, but takes a second when the fuel pump wire is pulled from the ballast resistor. Cruiser was helping a guy last month and IIRC it was determined that the fuel pump relay also provides power for other stuff like the injectors. So that would explain that. I'll be dipped! Such a nice diagram, all colored like that.
Btw, whoops! on the E-fan question in post #106, it was the AC clutch I was wondering about.

Cruiser, would I be correct to inturpurt what's being said is that the 02 sensor, "sensor" wire (also) runs to 87a and is then energized while the ign is on, but 02 the heater is not activated bu the ECU?
The point of the question is that that would make it pretty darn easy to check the 02 operation if that was the case.

Who on here can take the old, WRONGLY labeled relay illustration and correct it and save it?

so tested at the "new" 02 sensor relay, voltage exactly where it should be, haven't tested the sensor location yet. Interesting fact though i went to a garage up the road to see if they happen to have a scanner that would hook up and they had the snap on verdict system: check out the link its freaking sweet!

anyway they ran it and hooked it up and i was working with them reading it and the jeep never went into closed loop mode from the ecu, it constantly stayed in open loop. We ran it and drove it around for a total of about 45 minutes so it was plenty hot, also the only other reading they got was from the 02 sensor not switching voltage at all, if memory serves correct it was only back reading .04v. so what in the world would cause it to stay in open loop?

What do you get if you probe the O2 sensor connectors with it running? Got 12 volts to the heater?

well at the sensor no 12 volts on the orange, .02, at the relay 12 on pin 30, at the sensor 5 on the ecu side? hmmm, might be some more wiring gremlins somewhere! i only have a digital meter so i cant see the fluctuation while running

A should have 12V, B should be good ground, C should be fluctuating voltage.
