So the # 30 pin cavity only has .02 volts with key ON?

Pulled the connector out and checked the underside also no go still same voltage, even tried the simple test light to double check

Not that I think it makes a huge difference e but I was a little off pin 87 is .02, pin 30 is 0

If pin 30 in the cavity is 0, then you're not getting power through the yellow wire from the ignition switch.

So what would be a solution to fix that? I guess I mean what's the path of that wire? On the underside of the relay connector it's orange then the pigtail for that relay runs into a large connector next to the battery then ventures onwards.

Unplug the connector and refresh it.

See if you have ignition power on the connector furthest from the relay.

which connector do you mean, from the way it looks it is traveling from the relay then joins a whole bunch of wiring that is running to in front of the condenser behind the grille? I mean there are a lot of connectors around it but nothing definitive to that. just a little clarity thats all

You're gonna have to trace it back from pin 30, the yellow wire to the ignition switch.

Checked my manual further this morning. There is a splice in the harness that could be bad.

From the relay bank, follow the harness past the split to the ICU connectors, past the split to the diagnostic connectors, at the T in the harness go right and the splice/crimp should be there a few inches from the T..

Can't say that for sure. You don't HAVE to open the whole harness. Just the area I described, but I'd be tempted to open it right up. It appears that there will be 7 yellow wires crimped together there in some fashion.

so that must be the split for the ignition wire! On some of my older stuff i have used a post and put round connectors off of everything that needs to run off the ignition wire that way its easier to know where everything is. I knew there had to be a point somewhere that everything branches off of that one wire

I'm thinking. Any further up the line and it wouldn't run at all. ICU and ECU power are at the same crimp.......
