I replaced the fuel filter 3 weeks ago. I haven't tested fuel pressure but it runs good and the regulator doesn't leak. It is very much a sudden death and is definitely related to the IAC because if left unplugged it will start and stay running on the first try, but of course the idle changes with engine temp due to the computer not being able to adjust the amount of air....

So the output is adjusted to .84, correct?

See the little welsh plug on the driver's side of the throttle body? Under it is a Torx bit driven idle air bleed.

Take a pick and tap it with a hammer on one side of the plug. It will rotate and pop out.

It doesn't seem to come out and has obviously never been taken out. I'll try more tomorrow but I'll just state again that I switched the throttle body with an unadjusted spare with no change......

All I am wondering is why would it need to be different from stock. I will work on that plug again after I get home from work.

I don't know. I seem to remember a bulletin on that called an idle under-shoot condition. I don't feel like digging around out in the garage for the TSB in 100* heat right now. You can always turn it back to where it was......

Ok. I hear you about the heat... No AC and high 90s is no fun.... Open windows feel like industrial hairdryers on high heat.
