Got a renix radiator with out the over flow tank. I'm forced to use this radiator right now cause I made a trip from Indiana to Ohio and had problems with my new style radiator. I got the renix radiator for free so I can't complain. I filled the radiator from the top hose and my over flow bottle isn't hooked up yet till tomorrow. I was thinking about putting a t splice into a heater hose. The problem im having with it not hooked to the over flow bottle is that what I believe when it gets hot the coolant has nowhere to go and it's leaking out the bottom radiator hose. I think it leaked out all that it needs to from the expansion cause it stopped leaking. How would I go about to splicing a hose to hook up the over flow bottle with out going back to get the renix bottle?

An overflow bottle is not pressurized.....the Renix bottle is pressurised. Without pressure, coolant is likely to boil.

So that would explain why it leaked from the bottom hose for a little bit and stopped?

The bottom hose never leaked before. None of the cooling did till yesterday. The radiator was leaking form the fitting for the transmission cooling line

Without a pressure cap somewhere to relieve/maintain pressure, something is going to give and/or coolant will boil.

Cause from what I under stand even if I spliced a line into the hose for the overflow bottle coolant will just boil through the bottle cap cause that would be a major pressure relive. Cause like you said and as I know my overflow bottle is not pressurized
