So I found this little mod and thought I could do it to my renix air box. Before I go take everything apart and realize it won't work, has anyone done it before? Apparently just a little insert is taken out. I'd also like to know of any power or mpg gains to see if it's worth it. Here's the thread on it: https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/bu...location-2599/
Thanks to any feedback on this. I'm lookin for some homebrew mods to do and this one caught my eye. I'm also taking ideas for mods that will make my jeep stand out. I got a little 2012 class reunion thing goin on in a few days at my old high school so I wanna show off a little
Got about 4 days to get any mods done, so I'm doin a lot of research, haha.

Headlights are on the list towards the summer, still lookin for a tire carrier, I have a front engine skid and a t-case skid (gotta mount the t-case skid). I'll have to look at mine then. Maybe renix doesn't have it, haha. Thanks for lookin man, I appreciate it. What JY in pa was it? I might know of it.

Nope, not the 703 mod. Haven't had the chance yet. Plus, I need all the fuel economy I can get since I drive so much. I heard they give better performance, but the mpg takes a hit also. I can't really spend $70 on a set right now either unfortunately. I go through that much in gas in a week.

What year neon to take them from? I'll try it then if I can get them cheaper. It just wasn't one of the top things on my list.

Have a hitch, just gotta put it on. Gettin tow hooks soon from the JY. It's just pretty far away and really huge so I gotta plan a day for it. Haven't gotten to because of school and work. The closer yard doesn't have as much of a selection.

Thanks freegdr, I'll see how much they'll be for me. I'll be goin to one of the yards this week probably, so I'll look when I'm there.
