Renix help
Looking for the one they call cruiser to help me out unless anyone else with a renix injection jeep can have a look under the hood quick.
I need to know the color code for the wires leading to the knock sensor and the coolant temp sensor. This will be the wires loomed along with the o2 sensor wiring.
Long story short. I bought this jeep some time ago with the 96 motor already installed and running 90 renix. But only just now discovered while installing a Hesco cps relocation kit it isn't running the coolant temp sensor or knock sensor. And i found the wires in the loom.

Here are the wires. There is a set that appears shielded with a heavy duty ground wire, I'm assuming these are for the knock sensor and the other 2 are for the coolant temp sensor

CTS should have 2 black wires that go from it to the harness connector which are Blk and Tan. Flat connector.
O2 sensor has 3 wires. Gray, Black, and Orange. Flat connector.
Knock sensor has a connector identical to the fuel injector connectors.

Sweet thanks bud. I got it squared away. Dflintstone hesco sells a cps relocation kit which I purchased and installed after installing a flexplate that had an incorrectly indexed tone ring (thanks crown!) Was an expensive fix but well worth it in the end.

There has been some bad batches of those aftermarket flexplates for renix.
Chinese Replacement Auto Parts.
FYI, here's something you might enjoy looking at.

Sweet no not a high altitude kit. Although the Hesco kit does make the sensor location slightly adjustable
The hesco kit relocates the cps to the harmonic balancer location. Much easier to change and adjust. Plus i never have to dick with the flex plate again. Unless it cracks... again

I was very curious. Here's a link:

A real neat idea. Looks like you could adjust it while the Jeep is running but a little pricey for me.

Oh it's been installed for about 4 months now. I'm super happy with it. More that the distributor coolant temp sensor and knock sensor are all in working order. The thing runs like a champ
