1987 wagoneer limited 4.0. Harness is a mess. I have a complete renix harness from a 88 (motor to tcu, ecu, relays) but it is only a 3 relay, not a 4 relay like mine. I lost my digicopy of my fsm and my haynes manual is not help. What is the fourth relay for? I really need to know because the newish harness needs to be spliced in certain places.

Okay, so now i know that the problem isnt that im missing A/C wiring on the new harness, it is that there was a plug change apparently in 88/89. So i need to know what these two plugs go to, the 6 and 4 prong connectors. Thanks

So sorry. I believe We have been tricked with a faulty diagram. Click on the link in my signature for the proper relay order. (scroll down to post #3) It fooled me too! I posted that same diagram a bunch of times.

O2 heater, Fuel pump, Power Latch, AC, are front to back.

Much thanks! , but I'll hold off on "guru" (unless we knock off a few).

A heads up on your venture. Our (second) fuel pump relay seems to perform a number of the functions that the ASD relay does in OBDI & II. The O2 heater relay and the AC are relatively straight forward....all I can say about the Power latch...is it does more that latches! No real help there.....yet!

To rephrase, I'm not much help. It's cold and snowing at the moment and I'm not going out to look at mine..at this time.

Here is another good diagram....I think... http://www.scribd.com/doc/11033020/Jeep-Cherokee-1989

I'm not sure it is any better than GMC's link. 89&90 don't have the c101 connector there above the brake booster. You DID clean yours? Anyway don't forget you can hold the "ctrl" key and press "+" to zoom in on wiring diagrams.

I deleted mine, since it was a 87. The harness im putting in is from an 88/89, so im trying to decipher the connectors around the relays because they dont match... 87 have a 6 pin and a 4 pin, 88/89 has a singpe 10 pin. Most of the wires i can color match, but there are two thick reds. I need to know what they are so i dont foul something up.

DF-If you're talking about the relay picture, it's the same diagram-just from a different angle as what you have. Look at the side the ICM is on.

OOPs-Sorry, I looked again, you're right. My Jeep is out right now but that must be the mirror image or something.
