Default Renix fuel injector installation problem

1987 Cherokee 4.0 with the Renix FI system. I'm swapping out the fuel injectors. I got the injectors seated properly but when I tighten the fuel rail bolts to the manifold cover the injectors pull out slightly.

I've tried tightening the bolts in various sequences and progressively without any love. Does anyone have any advice?

Do you have the clips installed correctly on the top of the injector? They keep them at the correct depth in the rail bungs.

They're installed. I believe correctly. Is it possible to slide them on wrong?

The clips fit into reliefs on the rail side of the injector. You can account for all 12 of the old O rings?

That's how the clips are installed. I doubt it's related to the clips because they start to pull out of the engine side. They stay in the fuel rail without movement.

I'm swapping out the injectors to 746s as recommended by cruiser54 (see the attached link)

And yes, all of the previous o rings are accounted for.

I think I'll measure the lengths of the different injectors to make sure the problem isn't there.

Well, well, well. They sent me the wrong part number. Back to square 1.

Hope they work it out for you, if they can't let me know. Curious what part numbers did they send you?

710s are for the 96+ if memory serves correctly. Get those 746s and call it a day.
