98 Cherokee sport. The Air bag cover on the passenger side is COVERED in scratches and gashes and cuts and it make me cringe when i look at it, mainly because the rest of my interior is immaculate (For the most part) and i am neurotic.
Is it possible to remove this without screwing up my airbags? i know i can get a new cover at the Junkyard, but is it as easy as just swapping it out? I unscrewed the four screws on the bottom of it (Access to these screws with glovebox open), but it only became loose, and i could not pull it off (Although, i didn't try to pull it off too hard because i did not want to mess anything up), So i put them back in and came here to ask the experts !
Is it as simple as taking screws out, or is it much more complex than i expected?

Stop what your doing!!!!! The cover is part of the air bag module. You CANNOT replace the cover!! The only option would be to find another air bag with the same color cover and replace the whole bag module. But it's gonna cost you and they should only be replaced by a pro. Live with the scratches "**** Annie" battle scars add character.

Air bag removal need be done by people that know how. This can be a very dangerous thing to do, mainly a charge no matter how small can set them off if grounded( during removal or install). This I know from experience, and it can hurt alot.
