Default removing fuel lines from rail

It seems like a simple question but I have looked in the repair manual and searched and cannot figure out how to remove the fuel line from my fuel rail. The instructions in the manual are very confusing and Ive tried myself but have had no luck and don't want to break anything. Anyone got an easier explanation? Is there a special tool like some other vehicles? its a 94 with a 4.0.

Yes, there is a special tool. Go to the parts store and ask for a set of fuel line tools. They are usually multi colored plastic disc shaped things and are very inexpensive. They come in a set of 5 or 6 different sizes.

To use the tool, find the right size, slip it around the fuel line and use the ridge on one side to depress the locking part of the fitting.

I replaced all my injectors and never removed the fule line. It has a flex tube and if your replacing injectors you do not need to disconnect it to put in injectors. Simply unbolt it from the manifiold and pull it upward with injectors intact and then replace injectors. Otherwise you need the qucik disconnect tool sold at auto part stores to remove from fuel line if your not replacing injectors.

I need to remove the fuel line because the o-ring is leaking, I have already replaced my injectors. I already have those fuel line tools but the fuel line fitting looks different than the ones the tools are for.
