Default removing bumper and cutting fenders

Ok so the plan for tonight was to cut the fenders and remove the front bumper. The guy before me hit something with the front bumper and bent it right in the middle. Well after i tried getting to the bolts I realized it bent the brackets ok no problem. So took the cut off wheel and started cutting apart the bumper so I could get to the bolts. Driver side is off and it looks like the very end of where the brackets bolt up to is bent. It should be fine to straighten it and weld some steel up on both sides right? Also the piece that runs behind the bumper do I need that cause its pretty bent up too. And lastly the black canister looks kinda like a football on the passenger side behind the bumper what is it? do i need it? and if so where did people relocate it? I can get pics up if they are needed. and when I am done witht the fenders I will post those too. thanks everyone

Yes, you need the black canister. It is a vacuum canister for your heat/ac controls and your cruise control.
