Default Remove header panel without destroying it?

Has anyone had luck with removing the nuts that hold the panel on from the top? I got a ‘00 parts jeep and want the panel but the nuts look quite stuck.

I guess it depends on your location. Get some good penetrating oil. I use PB Blaster, but Deep Creep, Kroil and others do good job. Let them soak a bit. If you can, apply some heat with a torch.

I live in SoCal and don't typically have issues with rusty hardware except for exhaust clamps.

Yea this one looks like it has seen some salt for sure. I have PB on it, was thinking about using some acetone trans fluid mix but I’m not sure how that will affect the plastic.

Freeze-Off by CRC. My Napa carries it and it is amazing.

Seconded...Cruiser54 turned me onto this stuff when I was in a pinch with a customer...hands down the best penetrant I've ever used. Worked wonders when everything else didn't.

Yeah. They just don't have a huge advertising budget like PB does.
