Default Removable door Problem

I have what I hope to be a simple question. When the wires to the power door locks and windows are disconnected, does your dome light stay on all the time. My doors are closed and the light switch is turned off. I searched for it and found one comment about it that seemed vague. The PO cut all the wires.

My doors remove so thats why the question if the doors/wiring is the problem.

might be off track, but check the switch in the back hatch. mine started doing this shortly after I bought it, and after futzing with the doors for a few hours, I eventually traced it to the switch inside the lock in the hatch...

um. how about the switch in the door jamb on the door which you are removing...if the door does not close, the switch will not close the circuit.

Is there a door switch for the back passenger doors and hatch?

I think I'm going to go out and wire it back together real quick to see if that works. I want my locks and windows back anyways. I will let ya know if it fixes it!

should fix it...right now it's leaving the circuit open if i'm not mistaken.

yes there should be on all 5 doors but I may be mistaken about the passenger rear doors.

Fixed. I also had a door switch that was pushed in too far. The light turns off now.

But, I ran into a bigger problem..hahahaha. I locked myself out of my cherokee. I was testing the door locks and left them in the locked position and then shut the door. HOW I want to smash my head against that wall
