Dear XJ freinds,
I own a stock Cherokee limited edition 4.0 1990.
Today I replaced the steeringbox with a refurbished one from Rockauto due to mounting issues and broken bolts of my XJ.
After installing the jeeps drives OK. But when I turn the steering wheel to the extreme right I hear a loud click.
I did not hear this sound before the replacement and also not when I lifted the front to bleed the power steering. I turned the steering wheel 15-20 times from left to right.
Can anyone advise where to look for the problem? Any advise?
Thanks in advance.

Check the steering box bolts again. They love to break when disturbed. Also, the aluminum triangle brace likes to crumble as well.

^^. And while you're at it, tighten the track bar mounting bracket to frame rail bolts.
