I need to freshen up my automatic transmission fluid by pulling the pan drain plug and then adding fresh fluid something i've never done before.
My question for anyone who has done this,
approx. how much fluid will drain out? Pints? Quarts? Gallons?

Also, do several successive drain/fills, until it runs clear red like the fluid from the bottle. Drain, add, verify level, drive for a bit, repeat until fluid runs clean. Top off as needed to maintain proper level.

Thanks all!
Well 4 quarts it is.
Needed to know the approx. amt. to know about how much to buy and about how much to fill her up again.
X2 on the multiple drain-fills.
After 332,000 some miles, the tranny still shifts and works great. Knock on wood.
The fluid isn't all that brown nor smells burnt but it seen better days.
Last fluid change which was its final and last flush was probably about 100,000+ miles ago.

That's fantastic! Enjoy your Jeep.

If the pan isn't leaking, leave it alone.
+1
I did replace the gasket when I first got the Jeep but a simple drain and refill should be sufficient.
