After searching the forum to no avail for recommendations on parts to replace and repairs to make in order to keep an old Jeep running well, I figured I'd start this thread.
As a 95' XJ owner of six years, I've had to repair and replace quite a few parts on my Jeep.
Here's what I've repaired or replaced so far:
I'd like to compile a list of the most common repairs/upgrades to perform and part replacements to find that every XJ owner should know about in order to keep their Jeep running smoothly into the +300K miles range and beyond.
Any recommendations or resources from the more experienced and seasoned XJ owners would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Cooling system overhaul. Radiator, hoses, thermostat, water pump, fan clutch, sensor.
Use only OEM sensor and t-stat.
Also check those battery cables, and clean them grounds!

Seriously, clean the grounds. I put it off for way too long and was very disappointed in myself when I found out how dirty they were.

Rear drum brakes to disc brakes. Crown Automotive sells a kit that uses 93-98 ZJ parts. There are also guys on the forum that sell used parts to do the same.
I may be way off, but these threads might be be helpful...

Mark hit it right on the head. Cooling system overhaul and grounds for sure. Outside of that and general maintenance in consistent intervals, I would say start checking bushings, mounts, and bearings. At 300k, they gotta be on their last leg (or past it) if they haven't been changed in some time.
