Well, first thing was using a countersink bit and some flush head screws and it worked perfectly! I also swapped from the blue Fel-Pro gasket to the cork one as it is slightly taller just for a little insurance. Once I got it all back together after that it worked perfectly!

If that hadn’t worked I would have gone through the all of the other steps.
