FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY YOU CAN HAVE A REMAN ENGINE DELIVERED TO YOUR DOOR.

Google jeep 4.0L engine for sale. $2200 can get you pretty much any quality rebuilt engine with a liitle left over for support items/parts. Go to Quadratec.com or 4WD.com (for easy searching) they are ATK dealers. Hundreds of folks sell & ship reman/rebuilt engines on the web.

If you are mechanicall inclined you can rebuild your current engine for around $800-$1000. And probably stroke it fo around $2000. Just a thought

A rebuild would be a lot cheaper. I won $20 and bought that "How to rebuild a 4.0L" DVD off of ebay. Crappy production and it's not scripted, but it did help with a couple of questions. Really it's just a guy in his garage. I'm pleased with it.

check out Marshall engines.......(google).....

pretty decent prices (mine was 1600.)

(still sittin in crate at my dads, waiting for doomsday on this one).

but there are many others out there...just gotta do the research

a lot of places want you to call for price as they want to know if you want a long-block or short-block, or if you want a "stroker" etc etc.

anyway, good luck!
