Default Reattach Fender Flare

So my rear passengerside fender flare came off of my XJ ('99). I have tried using the clips to get the thing back on, but it doesn't STAY on once I get it back. Any ideas on how to reattach the flare?

I hope this makes sense. Look inside the fender well and you'll find the studs and nuts that hold the flare bracket to the fender. Take the nuts off and remove the metal bracket and you can reattach the flare to the bracket. When you reattach the flare to the bracket you can slightly bend the tabs so it holds the flare tight again. Then just stick it back on and put the nuts back on.

So I take both large metal brackets off, hook them inside the flare (off of the jeep), and then reattach them using the nuts/bolts?

Yup. That's it.

The studs easily break...Broke a bunch of mine. So i drilled them out and used a thicker bolt and nut. Works great and they dont come off as easy. and if they do... I can easily take the bracket back off.

Yes, the studs are very small. I cleaned/washed mine well, then used a small brush to clean the threads as best I could, then a little squirt of something like PB Blaster and they all came off easily.
