Hey my rear wiper motor only turns on when the trunk is open
whats with that?

Im new just bought a 1998 xj sport
4" skyjacker lift and 31" trail diggers
Iv'e replaces the floor pan pulled the fenders (Thinking of cutting and folding them) did some minor bodywork

currently needs
new clockspring
O2 sensors are weird

 

While your at it cut the rear wiper right off, I mean who uses it.

 

If it only comes on when you open the lift gate more then likely you have a cracked wire in the wire harness. It is very common for the wires to break that go through the jamb into the lift gate itself. pull off the lift gate panel and remove the rubber boot that hold the wire harness. The wires normally break inside of the rubber boot. Hope this help. Let us know what you find.
