Something has to be wrong here. I've never looked this closely at how the blade is connected to the pin, but it pulls right off the pin. Can anybody post a picture of what it's supposed to look like? Much appreciated!
I can't take a picture but the plastic clip that holds the clip on is wrong. There are a few different clips that can do it. Luckily the first picture I found actually looks like a Cherokee rear.
Thanks guys, it looks like my thumb in my second pic might be covering the clip thingy that is 180° out of position. I just dropped off the poor fella for a new head gasket so I won't get to play with it anymore until Friday.
The very cheap wiper blade I bought for my 95 was missing that retainer clip. The wiper could also just pull off with little effort. So I just put a single zip tie around the whole thing for a bit of piece of mind. I'll just make sure the next wiper blade I buy has all the parts.

Finally got to visit the Jeep yesterday and sure enough, the clip that's under my thumb in one of those pics above does NOT rotate over. So either I knocked something off it when washing it, or it's always been this way (the 9 months I've had it) and it somehow manages to stay on. Zip ties it is!
