Default Rear windshield wiper

When i press the switch to engage my wiper it doesn't move everything else works but that. I have an 01 up country

It could be any number of issues, but it's a common problem that the wires where the rear hatch swings often break. I would check the simple things first and work towards the hatch. On mine, almost all of the wires there had failed. I cut out the damaged wires and spliced in new ones.......

I had to physically move mine and I sprayed it with WD-40 and it works just fine now.

Check it for gunk or rust. Mine had some strange sticky residue sticking it in place as well as plugging the sprayer.
