Default Rear wheel bearing question???

My rear wheel bearings are done for...making a loud humming noise like a train..lol, also the seals are leaking a bit. Can someone please post up a link that has exactly what is needed to replace the bearings and seals.

Thanks,
Joe

The bearings need to be pressed off so unless you have a press or are going to buy one you will need to have someone else do them for you.

bearings cand be taken off with a hammer and chisel between the collar and bearing by working around the axle it take a while but it possible to install the seal and bearin you need a pc of pipe that slides over the axle and rest on the collar , place the rim and tire down and inset axle into stud hole just like it was mounted and tap the pipe with hammer untill the collar seats

or go to autozone and/or advanced auto and rent a slide hammer and axle bearing remover...remove axle shafts pull out seals and bearings press in new bearings with bearing driver kit ( i believe also at autozone) and press in new seals...easy as cake

lmao this is what happens when you continue to drive on a bad axle wheel bearing....

most drivetrain shops will swap em out for around $40 and axle (thats seal and bearing, when you provide the parts)

Its not hard to screw up. Rent a bearing puller from autozone and buy a haynes or chilton to do it.

I think he meant its hard to screw up. And he is right, there is not much to mess up its just a matter of pressing or pulling them off.
