rear u joint sizes, drive shaft questions
99 xj 4.0L Ax-15 8.25 rear
My rear shaft had a little play at 130,000 miles. I decided to change out the U joints. I went to the part stored picked up a set of
Moog
354 at transfer case
369 at axle
Manual transmission xj need the larger u joint at the case? I thought ok no biggie, went home to put it in and no dice. The stock Spicer joints both had the same P9 GC joint at both ends of the drive shaft.
The 354 would not work for sure.
Why the change is U joint size from Manual or auto? It's still a NP231 case.
It's like my Drive shaft was for an automatic. I have owned it for 5 years.
What should a stock drive shaft measure for 99 xj 4.0L ax15, np 231, 8.25 rear?
