is it possible to mount to hooks in the rear?

 

Some xj's with the upcountry package have a factory tow hook in the rear. Do you have a trailer hitch?

 

no, i plan on getting one but was thinking if i could just buy 2 hooks and bolt them somewhere maybe i could save a little $$

 

a four inch clevis around the shackle will work in an emergency untill you get the hitch i just figured out a way to in stall hooks from a factory chevy pick up using the existing sway bar mount holes i will be addressing the back next,search this under cevy recover hooks a plate will be replacing the washers soon

 

if i did something like that would there be a chance i could do something to the "frame" of my rig?

 

no those holes are the same hole that a front toe hitch would go in there is a steel plate aver a 1/2 thich inside the frame these are bolted thru that with a nother steel plate on top if these come off so will the cheap thin revovery brackets they sell with the bob the builder tow hooks

 

these mount in the same place these are alot thinner ive straightend those cheap hooks out before

 

i will be testing them out this weekend on this monster
