rear swaybar question
this is my first post but i am a xj enthusiest and have been reading posts on here for some time now. i just removed my rear swaybar on my xj this morning, i have been reading on here that its not a real good idea to remove the sway bar if your leafs are not stiff. i was just curious how stiff they need to be and are there any other hidden problems associatied with taking it off that i need to be aware of?
One more question. i have a rancho 3in lift with 31in tires, after i installed the lift(about a year ago), the rear end was way lower than the front, i had to get two inch shackles to level it out. anyone else had this problem? why would it do that, and did i do the right thing by adding the shackles?
i know that its my first post and its a lot of questions but i want to get this done right, thanks in advance for the responces.

When I installed my RE 3.5 inch lift it called for the rear sway bar to be removed and not to be reinstalled. Mine actually set a little higher in the rear and I am probably going to add some adjustable coil over spacers to the front because of the heavier front bumper and winch once it is added.

I removed my rear sway and cant really notice a difference onroad. I've got shackles and AALs so my rearend is pretty stiff. Just be a little more careful taking sharp turns and you'll be fine.
