Default Rear Suspension

Hi All

PLEASE HELP!

Can someone with standard suspension which is in good condition measure the gap between the wheel arche and the center of the wheel (UNLOADED).

I think my suspension is shot on the rear as it only has about 1-2" of clearance above the tyre and the sway bar is rubbing of the leaf springs!

Post a pic of your Jeep from the rear so we can see the condition of your leaves, and we can tell you.

Hi

Thanks for the reply, do you think these would be better than the standard one's?

Do I need new u bolts and the bolts in the end of the leafs just to be safe?

Just been out in the dark to measure them, 15 3/4" from centre of the wheel to the bottom of the wheel arche flare.

Those measurements are right. 17 and 17.5. Yeah, those leafs are toast. Those springs look good, but notice they are the heavy duty ones. If you don't have a heavy aftermarket bumper or carry around a bunch of stuff in the back, you might end up with a 2" lift back there.

Yes new u-bolts and new bolts with never seize on them would be great also, but if the factory bolts look good they will be ok.( just never reuse u-bolts they stretch)
